Why electric ?

Electrification of farming equipment is the key for a sustainable food supply chain and energetic independence. While reducing CO2 emissions, the Terafield’s electric combine harvester is cheaper to operate than a comparable diesel one. Our solution reduces the TCO by up to 16% in 5 years,  combining performance, sustainability and cost reduction into one product.

Technology

Our electric combine harvester is designed around an innovative electric platform. The platform contains all the sub-systems needed to move the combine and provides energy to the harvesting system. The software-defined electronics architecture (SDV) allows the best control, connectivity and autonomous driving capabilities.

Charging

Charging performance is critical to keep pace with farming operations. Terafield’s electric combine harvester can pull up to 1 MW of power from a suitable charger through a MCS charging inlet. Outside of the harvest season the combine is used as a stationary battery and generates a new revenue stream thanks to a powerful Vehicle to Grid (V2G) capability.
